Experienced Front-End Developer
The opportunity
💡Position within the Klaxoon R&D team, comprising 60 people (developers, data, devops, QA, product owners, engineering managers) mainly based in Rennes.
The team is organised around 3 main functional areas and 7 feature teams, with the aim of positioning the Klaxoon platform as a benchmark tool for visual and collaborative management with the following scope :
- Enabling effective collaborative working via our tool “Board” (whiteboarding and visual management), with a strong focus on performance, fluidity and ease of adoption.
- Create a space for strong participation during meetings and workshops, whether face-to-face, remotely or in hybrid mode.
- Facilitating Klaxoon’s integration into companies, by promoting integration into their information systems (SSO, SCIM, OKTA, Teams, etc.) and via public APIs (https://developers.klaxoon.com/).
2 cross-functional teams put their business expertise at the service of the feature teams to support them in design and delivery:
- The ‘DataSecOps’ team, whose aim is to build a secure and resilient infrastructure that can be deployed continuously and that enables a detailed analysis of usage.
- The UXDesign team, a team of UX - UI experts whose aim is to create fluid, effective ergonomics with an elegant design.
⭐ Your missions
You'll be part of the Feature Team dedicated to developing our flagship tool, Board. By joining this team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of subjects according to your skills, and in particular to develop new features in collaboration with the other developers and QA.
🚀 You will be responsible for developing new features for our tool “Board”. For example, recently we've been developing the mutlicursor, AI (translation, summaries, action plans) and slideshow & presentation functionalities, as well as continually improving the Jira integration in “Board”.
🚀 You'll also be able to apply your knowledge of trigonometry to implement new tools on Board.
🚀 You'll also be able to optimise our build/dev tools and front/back architecture to provide a pleasant dev experience (Nx / Module Federation), as well as improving the performance of our tools.
🚀 Finally, you may have to ‘start from scratch’ by migrating old parts of our code to React and Typescript.

🤝 Your daily life
We are pragmatic and use our own process inspired by agile methods. So you won't hear any talk of SCRUM or Kanban at Klaxoon. For example, we don't estimate tasks (#noEstimate), we prioritise by value, both functional and technical.
We work in continuous delivery and the duration of a sprint is one week.
Faire partie de la R&D c’est aussi intégrer la team JS. Chaque mardi matin, c’est “Culture!” où tous les développeurs JS se retrouvent pour échanger sur les bonnes pratiques et l’actualité tech. C’est aussi un bon moment pour organiser des coding dojo.
Being part of the R&D Team also means being part of the JS team. Every Tuesday morning is ‘Culture!’, where all the JS developers get together to discuss best practice and the latest tech news. It's also a good time to organise a coding dojo.
🎯 Your profile
We're looking for a dynamic, inquisitive person with 5 years' experience in Front-End development of Saas applications.
You code in JavaScript and ideally in React (or, instead of that, your experience of programming in Next JS will be welcome).
You have a good Front-End culture and a desire to share practices with your peers.
You share the culture of mutual aid and team spirit.
As Klaxoon is an international company, speaking English is a plus for working in this environment.
🌏 You'll have the opportunity to work in hybrid mode: on our premises in Rennes and up to 4 days a week working from home.
👉 Recruitment process
Our process consists of 4 stages :
- You will have an initial discussion with Colomban from the HR team, who will introduce you to Klaxoon. You may be offered a technical test, which you can do at home.
- Then, a second chat with Alban, Front-End Developer, and Karim, the team's Engineering Manager, to give you more details about your day-to-day life and that of the R&D team.
- You will then meet Yohan (head of engineering manager) and Benjamin (tech manager) who will tell you more about the tech environment and the proposed paths.
- Finally, a last 30-minute discussion with our CEO to end the process.
