Klaxoon MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that allows any compatible AI assistant to read, organize, and update Klaxoon whiteboards, always within the scope of your existing Klaxoon permissions.

Specifically, once the server is connected, your AI assistant can:

• Read, analyze, and understand the structure and content of your whiteboards
• Extract key information and transform it into structured actions
• Create and organize new content directly on your whiteboards
• Update the content of a whiteboard when your permissions allow it
• Combine the insights from your whiteboards with those already available to the AI assistant, for richer analyses and better optimization of your workflows

• If you can access a whiteboard, your assistant can read the content you can access.
• If you have permission to update a whiteboard, your assistant can create or edit its content in Klaxoon MCP.
• If you do not have permission to edit a whiteboard, your assistant cannot edit it via the MCP either.

How to get started with Klaxoon MCP

Three elements are required to enable the connection with Klaxoon MCP:

1. An MCP-compatible client, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any other tool that supports the MCP
2. Your Klaxoon account
3. Edit mode access to the whiteboards you want to work on

Once you have these elements, connect Klaxoon MCP from your assistant by following the specific instructions for each tool. For example, ChatGPT lets you connect through its dedicated marketplace, and Claude through its connector directory.

Once the connection is established, keep the following in mind to get the best results with Klaxoon MCP:

• Interactions on the whiteboard via the MCP work with text boxes, sticky notes, shapes, and connectors. Other types of content cannot be read or modified by the AI assistant.
• Repeating the same query multiple times may produce slightly different responses each time. This is normal AI behavior and is not an integration issue.
• Be specific in your queries. Clear instructions, including references to the exact part of the whiteboard or frame you’re targeting, give the assistant the context it needs to act accurately.
